This workshop will help you develop your research ideas into a high quality grant application and signpost you to a network of grant support available. It is targeted at researchers with limited experience of grant writing.

Publish or Perish: Academic Publishing in a Nutshell – 08/11/2016
Academic publishing is currently undergoing a revolution and there have been several new developments in recent years, including the rise of open access journals, the requirement to share data and new regulations. Participants will be introduced to the editorial process, various publishing models, open access publishing, legal considerations and how to navigate the academic publishing process.

This one-day, interactive workshop for researchers from any discipline who are interested in communicating their research to a secondary schools audience. It explores the why, what and how of engaging with secondary schools. (Part of the Schools-University Partnership Initiative).

This workshop will raise your awareness of the fellowship schemes open to you and signpost you to the wide ranging support available to help you develop yourself and your application.

Grant Writing: Pathways to Impact – 07/12/2016
This half day workshop aims to Research Staff to develop more successful and appropriately funded Pathways to Impact plans by sharing experiences, resources and expertise in user engagement, impact planning and research uptake strategies.
